We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the following Short-term Contract position for Term 4 of 2024, with the possibility of the position continuing in 2025.
Part-time: Middle School Science Teacher (0.6 FTE) We are looking for an outstanding and inspiring Science Teacher who is passionate about Science and will inspire students with a love for scientific inquiry and critical thinking while nurturing their faith and values.
The successful applicant will have: Relevant qualifications and experience, be approachable, and relate well to students, parents, and fellow staff members. Experience in writing and implementing curriculum. A passion for teaching Science to Secondary School students in an engaging and relevant way. Essential Knowledge and Experience: An active Christian faith. Passion for living out your Christian faith and prepared to model, uphold, and support the Ethos and Core Values of the College. Deeply relational, friendly, and open. Outstanding teaching skills in your subject area. Developed a variety of teaching and learning strategies to meet the needs of all students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including team-building and mentoring skills. Prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that students are well provided for. Committed to supporting College policies and procedures relating to Classroom and Behaviour Management. Understanding of technology and ability to confidently integrate this into teaching. Thorough knowledge and experience in teaching Science (Years 7 – 10), with familiarity with the Western Australian Curriculum and STEM/STEAM pedagogies. Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience related to the teaching responsibility required by the position. Current Western Australia Australian Teachers Registration Board Certificate of Registration (TRBWA). Current Working With Children Card. Current Police Clearance. Excited by the possibilities?
