Join us as a Seasonal Casual Forklift Driver & Parcel Sorter and feel good knowing you're providing a vital service for your community during our busiest time of the year.
You'll be? Using a Forklift, loading and unloading mail from mail bags, trays, containers and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices) Sorting parcels and mail (manually or machine-assisted) with the use of scanners Working across sophisticated processing equipment and lines Operating and using load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers whilst cooperating with operations staff to get the mail into the facility Working afternoon shift Nigh Shift 11pm - 6:51am Sun - Thurs plus OT, with the possibility of permanency About you You're available to work immediately to work through our peak period You hold a valid LF Forklift License You enjoy a physical role, can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly, have a great memory and attention to detail You're safety-conscious and able to safely operate equipment such as conveyors, loading/lifting devices including pallet jacks to load and unload parcels from trucks and vans You enjoy a fast-paced environment where compliance checks are required You're comfortable handling parcels that may contain meat and/or alcohol products How we'll deliver for you You'll be allocated a regular shift time, and work with a great bunch of people A higher rate of pay may apply for applicable shift times (penalty rates) You'll benefit from a 12% superannuation rate We may have opportunities for ongoing work beyond the peak season We're delivering together At Australia Post, we acknowledge the Traditional?Custodians of the land on which we operate, live and gather as employees.
