We are looking for a full time Scientist / Senior Research Assistant. You will have the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively to support the company's drug portfolio, including building on our targeting bispecific antibodies.
Qualifications and Experience
This role will suit a self-driven and enthusiastic professional with an experience in developing the biological products for Phase I-II clinical trials. We are looking for someone with:
Essential
A completed university Degree in Bioengineering, Bioprocessing, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences or relevant industry experience. Hands-on skills with upstream and downstream bioprocessing: knowledge of aseptic cell handling, bioreactors, experience with an affinity chromatography, understanding the principles of protein purification and characterization. Experience with analytical immunoassays and method development such as ELISAs, Flow-cytometry, SPR or other. Desirable
3+years in a production or characterization of new recombinant proteins for Phase 1-2 clinical trials in biotechnology company or CDMO. Understanding of the principles of GMP/GLP settings Knowledge of the in-process controls, CQA, CPP, release specifications applicable to the new biological products in Phase I-II clinical trials. Knowledge of the approaches to stability or viral clearance studies. Demonstrated scientific input into the development of new biological products Key Responsibilities
· In this role, you will be working on the R&D production, purification and the characterisation of recombinant bispecific antibodies in shake flasks in CHO cells for internal projects in collaboration with other scientists (50% of time).
· You will assist with a technology transfer from R&D to CDMO, or CDMO/CDMO transfer (50% of time).
· This position may require 2-3 interstate or international trips in 2025 and occasional after hours work in 1H25 (WFH, videoconference).
