The position is a permanent part time position of 30:24hrs per week (0.8 full time equivalent), available for immediate start. While the position is as a continuous shift worker with a roster of day, evening and overnight shifts, an emphasis on evening shifts will be considered as meets the needs of the successful applicant. Training will be contacted during routine day shifts. In this role, you will apply independent scientific judgement and knowledge of quality control processes in the analysis of patient specimens leading to the accurate and timely verification and validation of test results across routine Haematology, including morphology and coagulation Salary range: $38.25 - $57.80 and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+ access to many staff benefits! What you'll be doing The successful applicant will: Work cooperatively and communicate effectively, with Pathology staff and with internal and external clients, including clinicians. Demonstrate the ability to work independently when required. Impart and learn scientific knowledge and expertise through active learning within the team and by engaging in professional development activities and contributing to Laboratory meetings. Have well-developed interpersonal skills. Utilise scientific and professional judgement in decision making. Participate in the quality control processes expected of Haematology laboratory, including external quality assurance programs. About you A Bachelor of Science majoring in Medical Laboratory Scienceor an equivalent qualification with at least 3 years experience in a Haematology laboratory including experience in morphology in the areas of haematological oncology and neonatology.
