Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.Key competencies (role specific criteria)Demonstrated knowledge, expertise and skill in the delivery of scientific judgement within a comprehensive Haematology/Transfusion medicine and Clinical chemistry laboratory.Demonstrated ability to participate within a multidisciplinary team and contribute a range of diagnostic and troubleshooting skills often with minimum supervision.Demonstrated ability to apply established principles to a multidisciplinary laboratory service with provision of results and clinical advice in a client-focused manner.Demonstrated ability (or ability to rapidly acquire the skill) to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation/certification.Qualifications, registrations and other requirements:Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent qualification.Transfusion Medicine and Blood Film Morphology experience is essential.
