About the Role We are seeking an experienced Scientific/Technical Officer - Automated Chemistry who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate, vibrant and engaged team responsible for:
Performing manual and automated diagnostic testing Conducting routine procedures from specimen reception to execution of results for pathological diagnosis Assisting with stock control Maintaining records and recording results in line with protocols Maintaining and operating equipment in line with protocols Keeping current with scientific knowledge Participating in routine and audit-related Quality Assurance activities Contributing to continuous improvement and the development of new assays Training staff Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding test results Complying with policies, workplace health and safety procedures, and quality assurance processes About You To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the essential requirements:
Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science), or Certificate/Diploma in Laboratory Technique Demonstrated experience and expertise in the respective discipline Sound knowledge of QC, QAP, and troubleshooting Ability to identify, develop, and implement quality and service improvement activities Ability to perform duties independently with infrequent supervision Commitment to quality and excellence Willingness to adhere to policies and procedures Positive attitude towards teamwork Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills Ability to thrive in a busy environment Self-initiative and problem-solving capabilities Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy This role may require additional vaccination history and evidence Benefits and Wellbeing As part of working for Healius, you will have access to a range of benefits including:
