The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met.
Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.About the SchoolMaryborough Special School caters for students with a diverse range of abilities and specific educational requirements, with an enrolment of approximately 80 students from prep to year 12.About the RoleAs the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities, you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the school by providing a high level of grounds and facilities support to the Principal, Business Manager, or nominated delegate.You will perform a range of activities to ensure that the school is maintained to a high standard, following set instructions, while having the independence to perform various routine day-to-day services.
Regular supervision will be provided for non-routine tasks.The position reports directly to the Principal, Business Manager, or nominated delegate.Responsibilities include:Performing day-to-day activities including delivering and collecting mail, parcels, and documents; recording and delivering messages; printing and photocopying; preparing classrooms for examinations; and managing school supplies and stocks.Assisting with duties such as clearing and hosing of drains, waste collection, and immediate action cleaning duties outside normal hours.Supporting security duties including maintaining the school security systems and managing the locking/unlocking of buildings.Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, including maintaining a safe work environment and managing equipment records.For more information please refer to the role description.Interested?
