About this Opportunity We are looking to employ a School Officer - Academic Support to fill a newly created role commencing January 2025, working directly in the support of our Curriculum Leaders. This is a full-time, term time, position working thirty-eight (38) hours per week between the hours of 7.30am to 3.36pm. Term time being the students academic year, plus one (1) week before the students commence their school year and one (1) week after the students complete their school year.
The position will become part of our Administration team, which will require close collaboration with our Executive Assistants, College Reception staff, and System Administration team. The position will support motivated, leading school educators and will contribute greatly to activities that have a lasting, real impact on the education and support of our students, staff, and their families. Being a new role, it also presents a rare opportunity for the right person to create and develop a truly rewarding position.

Key responsibilities include: Provide general curriculum administrative support and proactive planning to assist Curriculum Leaders effectively.Liaise with the Curriculum Leaders on subject matters and agendas, assisting with general subject resource materials.Assisting with the organisation and classroom resources and activities.Attendance at Curriculum meetings for administrative support, including minutes, agendas and follow up.Assist with the preparation of reports; including but not limited to research, surveys, rosters, compiling and editing documents, and presentations.Work with the Curriculum Leaders in the administration and organisation of assessment materials.Support for the Curriculum Leaders as they prepare their annual budgets.Entering data as required in various databases, ensuring the information is accurate and current. Support Front Office reception by providing telephone support during periods of leave or while on breaks, when required. Attendance, where required, at College events to support the Curriculum agenda, including Open@Twilight and other activities.
About You This role will ideally suit someone with outstanding attention to detail, and the ability to interact in a positive manner with staff and students. You will be highly organised and promote ongoing role development and improvement, and have a personal sense of initiative, enthusiasm, and high energy. We are looking for a person who possesses appropriate qualifications in Administration Support or Business Services and/or relevant experience in a similar role.
High-level computer competency, including medium to advanced level capabilities of MS Office suite (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required, and being a new role, you will be solutions orientated with the ability to work autonomously and proactively.
