Full Time Continuing opportunity to make a significant contribution as the School Manager of Susan Wakil School of Nursing and Midwifery Base Salary $140,913 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity Reporting to the Head, Executive Services and working closely with the Head of School and Dean, the School Manager will be part of the school's leadership team, contributing to planning, setting, communicating, and deploying of the school's academic and operational strategies, goals, and practices. You will be responsible for implementing infrastructure, operational plans and processes within the school, ensuring the school's delivery of education, research, research education and external engagement strategies. You will also be accountable for operationalising decisions related to the school's strategy and business planning, financial performance, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance and control and workplace health and safety. This position has leadership responsibilities to lead, guide, develop and manage a team of professional staff.
Your key responsibilities will be to: facilitate formulation and implementation of the school's strategic plan
provide operational leadership and management for the school
drive continuous business improvement initiatives for the school
support the delivery of teaching and research
effectively manage the financial governance and control for the school
efficiently utilise the deployment of resources for the school
ensure adherence to University governance framework
manage risk and workplace health and safety for the school.

a degree qualification in an applicable field (for example business administration) and/or equivalent combination of relevant training and experience
exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and deploy effective working relationships across a diverse range of people
demonstrated track record in managing medium scale budgets and financial plans
experience in business, infrastructure, operational and resource management
excellent communication, consultation skills, and negotiation skills to drive internal and external engagement.
