School Holiday Disability Support Workers (Casual)

We're an award-winning provider in Bendigo and Melbourne for disability support, with a strong focus on our younger participants.
For many years now we have successfully run school holiday programs.We are seeking expressions of interest from school teachers and/or educational staff working in schools for the next school holiday program, beginning January 2025.
We would like to invite any teachers or school-based staff to apply for a role with us as a Casual School Holiday Support Worker.
The role will be based in Bendigo.
The role The role of a support worker varies greatly depending on the clients' support needs and service requirements, however typical duties that are expected of the position include:
Caring for young people with a range of disabilities and behaviours Engaging in activities with young people Working as part of an experienced team to supervise young people and assist them with their needs or concerns A sound knowledge of technology - completing shift notes and communicating via email or phone Providing verbal and written handovers to staff and parents of the progress of the young person. Work one-on-one with a young person, encouraging them to engage with other young people. Transporting clients in vehicles to various locations or assistance to use public transport What you'll need 1-3 years experience working with young people NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain before commencement) Drivers License, your own vehicle and full Comprehensive Insurance First Aid (HLTAID011) & Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) (HLTAID009) Working with Children Check (Employer) Police Check Supporting you to support others. You will be supported by a strong management structure with over 30 years of experience in the disability industry.
