Role SummaryThe primary role of the Scheduler is to be responsible for the coordination of staff resources, so that we are most effectively utilising our staff to deliver services to our clients. The role is accountable for building regular, ongoing staff rosters and also for putting out the day-to-day spot fires caused by unplanned absences or cancellations. The role works closely with both our staff and our clients, maintaining a customer service approach and seeking to keep all involved as well-informed as possible.
Responsibilities and DutiesEnsuring rosters are regularly reviewed to meet key service indicatorsMinimising travel time to increase the optimisation of direct client timeAttending to day-to-day rescheduling and covering of unplanned absencesEnsuring the appropriate compatibility of staff with clientsThis role is being hired on a permanent full-time basis, with the roster being 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday. This position is located out of our central office in Belmont. Skills, Attributes and ExperiencePrevious experience working in a scheduling position is an essential requirement for this position. Our ideal candidate will have a keen eye for details and gets a thrill out of problem solving within their work. They will have excellent time management, planning and organisational abilities. They will also be a strong communicator who enjoys developing working relationships with their key stakeholders. They will take pride in being genuinely customer service focused, represented by a friendly and positive phone manner.
Key Criteria Includes: Previous experience working within scheduling or rostering for a complex service delivery business, ideally within healthcare, is essentialAn understanding of the NDIS framework and its applications is desirable, but not essentialA high level of competency using computer systems and softwareAbility to manage competing deadlines and prioritiesAssign are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
