Key Responsibilities for Scania HGV Truck Mechanics As a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic specializing in Scania trucks, your key responsibilities will include:

Service and Repairs for Scania Trucks: Conduct comprehensive service and repairs on Scania trucks, trailers, and heavy vehicles. Scheduled Maintenance of Heavy Vehicles: Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal performance of Scania HGVs and other heavy machinery. Mechanical Fault Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Execute detailed mechanical fault diagnosis and troubleshooting for Scania trucks and heavy vehicle fleets. Repair and Maintain Heavy Vehicle Equipment: Maintain and repair heavy vehicle equipment, focusing on Scania trucks to the highest standards. Adherence to Safety Standards: Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols in the workshop environment, particularly when working with Scania trucks. Compliance with Vehicle Regulations: Follow all company policies and procedures, including WHS, HR, and heavy vehicle regulations. Training Requirements for Scania Mechanics: Complete mandatory training through our Online Learning Management System (Multilearn). Incident Reporting Procedures: Report any hazards, near misses, or incidents immediately. Vehicles and Equipment Handled by Scania HGV Truck Mechanics You will work on a diverse range of heavy vehicles and equipment, including:

Scania Prime Movers and Main Fleet: Primarily Scania trucks as part of our main fleet. Additional Heavy Vehicle Brands: Kenworth, Mack, Freightliner, Western Star, Volvo. Rigid Trucks and Specialized Vehicles: Including Tippers, Water Carts, and Forklift-carrying Crew Trucks. Forklifts and Specialized Trailers: Working with forklifts and various types of heavy vehicle trailers such as General Freight Trailers, Powder Concrete Tankers, and Refrigerated Vans. Qualifications and Experience Needed for Scania HGV Truck Mechanics To be considered for the role of Scania HGV / Truck Mechanic, you should have:

Certifications for Diesel Mechanics: Australian Cert III in Diesel Mechanic or Auto-Electrician, or a recognized international qualification (e.g., 3-year Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, FETAC). Experience as a Scania Truck Mechanic: 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in a role involving Scania truck maintenance and heavy vehicle repairs. Valid Driver's License: A current and valid driver's license. Fluency in English: Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Key Skills and Attributes for Heavy Vehicle Mechanics We are looking for candidates with:

Shift Rotations: Day shifts (0500 – 1300) or (1300 – 2300). Workdays and Overtime: Weekdays with one Saturday per month and overtime at 1.5x standard rate.
