About the role The role reports directly to the Executive General Manager (EGM). Your primary responsibility is to manage all scaffolding projects from inception to completion. A key component of the role is the collaboration with existing General Managers and Construction Managers in the company. We are looking for a team player with a positive, solutions-focused attitude, exceptional time management skills, and attention to detail. The role is very autonomous, and you will plan your week to deliver projects for Mc Mahon Services. Responsibilities of this role include: Determine scaffolding systems suitable for different construction sites, review scaffolding drawings, conduct surveys, oversee daily operations, and ensure compliance with safety standards, manufacturer design specifications, engineers design (if applicable), and regulations. With strong estimating skills, develop quotations for scaffolding projects ranging from new commercial buildings, civil works including bridges and marine operations, and demolition and decommissioning projects for a wide range of industries including commercial, resources, and industrial. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organise, and prioritise tasks effectively from initiation to completion. Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against established targets. Analyse variances and implement corrective actions as necessary to control expenses and maintain profitability. Prepare and present project reports to management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and opportunities. Collaborate with customers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to determine project requirements, specifications, and deliverables. Managing performance by applying clear and consistent performance standards, whilst providing guidance to improve performance. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to scaffolding and construction management. Foster a positive and collaborative working environment, promoting teamwork. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Perform work in a manner which ensures the health and safety of themselves, and all other workers adhere to Health Safety and Environment Standards, policies, and procedures. At least 15 years' experience in the scaffolding industry. Proven experience as a Scaffolding Manager / state manager or in a similar role, with a track record of successfully delivering scaffolding projects safely, on time, and within budget.
