The roleALS Geochemistry is looking for Sample Preparers to work in our Sample Preparation section at our facility located in Orange – NSW.Sample Preparers operate machinery that crushes, splits, and pulverizes mining mineral samples for laboratory analysis.
This is a fast-paced, dusty work environment where previous production experience and flexibility with availability would be highly beneficial.This Full Time position involves working on a Morning Shift roster: Monday through Friday, from 6am to 2:15pm. Responsibilities include:Handling rock, core and drill chipsOperating sample preparation equipment – crushers, pulverizes, splitters, and weigh scalesPerforming routine manual/labouring tasks, including lifting and being on your feet all dayNumerical sorting and labelling of samplesWearing mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respiratorWorking as part of a team to achieve daily production targetsThis is a residential role, and you must be residing in or planning to relocate to Orange - NSW with current Australian work rights to be considered.
