The role
ALS Geochemistry is looking for Sample Preparers to work in our Sample Preparation section at our facility located in Orange – NSW.
Sample Preparers operate machinery that crushes, splits, and pulverizes mining mineral samples for laboratory analysis. This is a fast-paced, dusty work environment where previous production experience and flexibility with availability would be highly beneficial.
This Full Time position involves working on an Afternoon Shift roster: Monday through Friday, from 1:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Responsibilities include: Handling rock, core and drill chipsOperating sample preparation equipment – crushers, pulverizes, splitters, and weigh scalesPerforming routine manual/labouring tasks, including lifting and being on your feet all-dayNumerical sorting and labelling of samplesWearing mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respiratorWorking as part of a team to achieve daily production targetsThis is a residential role, and you must be residing in or planning to relocate to Orange - NSW with current Australian work rights to be considered.
