About the Department The role of the Department of Education is to support Victorians to build prosperous, socially engaged, happy and healthy lives. It does this by supporting lifelong learning and healthy development, strengthening families and helping to equip people with the skills and knowledge for a 21st century economy and society.
About the Division The Information Management and Technology Division guides the Departments' digital capability and is leading digital transformation for the Department including Victorian government schools. The Division architects, manages and supports the largest technology network in Victoria, supporting a user base of approximately 750,000 staff and students.
IMTD provides innovation and leadership in the transformation and management of the Department's digital capability through the implementation of solutions on the department's cloud environment (IaaS), enterprise cloud platforms (PaaS) and software (SaaS), using agile practices with a focus on user experience, security, and integration.

This role is in the Digital Design and Innovation Branch.
About the Role This role is to develop and customise Salesforce solutions using various technologies such as Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Lightning Web Components.
The role will also take part in requirements gathering workshops, estimation, addressing the agile product backlog through development sprints and delivery and maintenance of technical documentation.
In this role, you will also contribute to support applications built on the Salesforce platform.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Designing and developing Salesforce solutions from inception to ready for business use in production.
• Uholding architecture, design and implementation principles including configuration management and coding practices.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, developers and functional analysts on functional and technical requirements.
• Providing estimates for the scope of work, discussing options and recommending solutions.
• Reviewing code and run initiatives to improve the overall health of the platform.
• Reviewing Salesforce seasonal releases and identify new features that can be enabled for the business.
