About the role This position supports the Sales & Marketing team to ensure smooth hotel operations, assists the Business Development Manager in coordinating events, and contributes to various projects by creating content for print and digital distribution, drafting proposals, and managing outgoing communications. The candidate will play a key role in managing marketing correspondence, distributing promotional materials, and assisting in developing and executing marketing strategies and campaigns
WHO YOU ARE Holds a minimum of 12 months' experience in hotel operations or a sales and marketing role. Holds a Bachelor's or tertiary qualification in hospitality. Demonstrates a sound understanding of digital marketing concepts and emerging industry trends. Stays up-to-date with the latest sales and marketing trends, especially in social media. Thrives in fast-paced environments, showcasing excellent planning and execution abilities. Displays exceptional attention to detail and effectively manages diverse stakeholders. Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work independently in dynamic situations. Shows a strong focus and passion for hotel operations. Exhibits strong organisational skills in managing correspondence, taking comprehensive meeting minutes, and overseeing promotional materials. Demonstrates skill in drafting compelling proposals and communication materials that enhance marketing strategies. Takes initiative in managing phone inquiries and conducting telemarketing to identify new clients, delivering weekly summaries. With a strong sense of multicultural awareness and collaborates well with people from diverse backgrounds. WHAT YOU'LL DO Assist in creating content for print, online and digital distribution. Assist with proposals, drafting documents, mail-outs and outgoing communication material. Assist with any specified projects relating to internal/external promotions. Ensure up-to-date knowledge of rates, packages and operational details of the hotel in order to be able to handle site inspections with the hotel's client base. Handle all incoming telephone calls and follow through using own initiative. Assist in telemarketing for new clients and define their potential to the business, preparing a weekly outcome summary report. Assist with administration as required, maintaining electronic files of all contracts, wholesaler, group and corporate rates. Assist in the distribution of materials when required e.g. hotel brochures, sales kits for external promotions. Responsible for the collection and organisation of all Sales & Marketing correspondence within the Hotel. Assist the team in developing and executing the marketing and e-commerce strategy by coordinating marketing strategies and campaigns.
