About the role An excellent opportunity exists for a seasoned Sales Manager with experience in the medical imaging industry to join our sales management team. In this position, you will have the opportunity for leading, training and directing a team of Account Managers to achieve established sales targets within your state or region.
This is a leadership role in Canon Medical. The highest standards of conduct, professionalism, demonstration of Sales Management competency and Canon Medical core values is essential for continuing employment in this position.
Key responsibilities: Leading a team of Account/Relationship Managers to ensure they achieve their individual sales targets.Demonstrating sales leadership to set an example of expected behaviours and performance.Developing and maintaining key customer contacts at senior levels with the specific aim of driving business growth in line with required market share targets.Reviewing performance of the sales team and implementing improvements to procedures/training where necessary.Developing individual and state order booking budgets in line with prescribed market share targets.Regularly reporting actual performance to budget with variance analysis and revised projections.Monitoring sales and expense performance and initiating corrective action where necessary.Working with Branch, Modality Business Unit and Account Managers to develop and implement a state sales strategy.In collaboration with the Branch and Modality Business Unit Managers, work with the National Sales and Marketing teams as well as Head Office support staff to ensure the strategy ties to other parts of the business.Contributing to the Branch invoicing processes.Recruiting, training and motivating sales staff.Collaborating with the State Service Manager to achieve service targets as they relate to the sale of Finished Goods.Coordinating the gathering of market intelligence regarding competitor's products and their sales strategies.Tracking market trends and reporting these to all relevant parties.Our ideal candidate will possess: Tertiary qualification in a sales, engineering or marketing discipline or equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years related sales experience, a significant portion of which is in the medical imaging industry.Strong track record of growing sales revenues over an extended period, in high value capital sales.Proven sales ability including negotiation skills, persuasive ability and excellent communication skills.Sound product and industry knowledge coupled with the ability to deal with clients at all levels and translate client needs into a complete solution.Management, leadership, mentoring, reporting skills.Formal management training would be an advantage.What's on offer?
