Job Description We have a vacancy in our Perth Sales office as a Sales Executive working with Nine Radio. Nine Radio is a division of Nine and owns and operates top-rating news talk stations 2GB, 3AW, 4BC, 6PR and a music network 2UE, MAGIC & 4BH. The role of the Sales Executive-Nine Radio is to work closely with the Group Business Manager with key tasks in achieving revenue targets for an assigned media agency/territory. The Sales Executive-Radio is the primary day-to-day contact for the media planners/buyers/direct advertisers, and is ultimately responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our advertising agencies and clients. Responsibilities include but won't be limited to: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly budget and revenue targets, aiming for a minimum 10% year-on-year growth. Develop and implement retention strategies to achieve at least 80% customer retention per quarter. Create and manage targeted advertising schedules across all channels, ensuring on-time delivery of advertising material. Collaborate with the Powered team to identify and deliver new opportunities for brands. Maintain ongoing client relationships through regular reviews, ensuring guaranteed spend is met. Lead and guide a Sales Coordinator, facilitating the sale of sponsorships and spot packages. Negotiate trading discounts on casual business, understanding market conditions. Ensure delivery of post-analysis reports to clients and maintain accurate client and account lists. Handle multiple concurrent advertising campaigns, prioritising as necessary. Demonstrate success in leveraging media industry networks, adapting to changes, and achieving win-win outcomes for clients and the business. Qualifications What we're looking to see: Proven experience in media sales with strong understanding of the media landscape, including radio. Ability to present to agency groups and develop compelling proposals and schedules. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Understanding of market trading conditions and ability to negotiate trading discounts. Demonstrated time management and organisational skills. Exposure to radio and other media platforms.
