Science Squad and its brands are trusted and well-established innovators within the petrochemical arena. Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an equally dynamic and motivated Sales Professional to join us.
With an understanding of scientific testing solutions, your focus will be on generating application-based sales within the Petrochemical and Analytical arena.
Our ideal candidate will have a background working within the Scientific Industry, with opportunity to specialise in the petrochemical and allied sectors. Be adept at solving problems and identifying pain points through active listening. They will understand the value of sharing relevant information across the business units and be competent at managing stakeholders with a strong understanding of internal and external expectations.
As a skilled sales professional, you will be managing your sales pipeline and customer lifecycle to retain and facilitate growth. You'll know how to grow market share by leveraging your existing customer base and identifying new opportunities for products and service.
A team player, you'll work pro-actively with internal teams to ensure all business-critical information is shared ensuring the effective and efficient management of our customers and their needs.
Often tasked with representing the business both locally and overseas, you'll deliver presentations, attend networking events, and participate at trade shows as our ambassador.

Maximize sales opportunities by developing strong relationships with existing clients and gathering critical insights on the requirements of new and prospective client. Meet and/or exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales and activity objectives. Generate new sales opportunities through industry networking, professional social engagement and cold calling. Demonstrate a commitment to customer service by treating customers respectfully, responding to requests in a timely manner and, wherever possible, exceeding their expectations. Undertake competitor and market research and analysis, share feedback and adjust sales effort accordingly to respond positively. Responsibilities Manage the sales pipeline and existing customer lifecycle to retain and facilitate growth. Grow market share by leveraging existing customers and identifying new sales and service opportunities. Work pro-actively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all business-critical information is communicated. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and brand partners to design/develop industry-specific outbound marketing and communication campaigns to generate interest. Maintain detailed and accurate client intelligence via internal CRM systems. Daily use of sales tracking platform (Salesforce) to ensure up-to-date information and forecasting is maintained on all growth opportunities. Undertake cold calls and perform warm outreach calls, employing creativity and 'outside-the-box' strategies to engage with current and prospective customers to uncover needs/requirements and develop new sales opportunities. Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales KPIs and conduct month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes. Continually improve knowledge of products and brands we represent and undertake regular competitor and industry research and analysis to monitor and measure our product, sales and pricing performance. Skills and Qualifications High level of communication, interpersonal, telephone and organisational skills. Experience working with and maintaining an effective Sales and CRM platform. Experience closing enterprise level deals. Ability to analyse customer need and determine solutions to meet their needs. Ability to use Microsoft Office products. Ability to travel. Preferred Qualifications 3-5 years in sales within a technical or scientific setting. Bachelor's degree. Proven success rate at levels above quotas. Strong organizational skills.
