A sales engineer (SE) is an individual responsible for selling an organization's product into a specific industry. A sales engineer may work selling a company's products directly to customers, or may work with resellers and distributors. A sales engineer is responsible for understanding a customer's needs, and for translating those needs into a solution that will satisfy the customer. A sales engineer often works in a consultative sales mode. This means the sales engineer works directly with customers, gaining an understanding of a customer's needs, and showing them how the prospective solution can fulfill those needs. Job Brief We're looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team and help us grow our business. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and managing our sales pipeline, identifying new sales opportunities, and working with our team to close deals. If you are a motivated self-starter with a track record of success in sales, we want to hear from you! Sales Engineer Duties Develop a strategic sales plan to increase business Provide strategic guidance for sales, marketing, and business development Understand client requirements, identify their expectations, and deliver solutions Meet and exceed sales goals and revenue forecasts, and provide ongoing sales performance feedback Help develop sales plans and strategies Assist with product and program development, when necessary Help establish and maintain good working relationships with clients Oversee product development projects, including concept development, design, and prototyping Help manage relationships with clients Help identify market needs and develop solutions Work closely with sales managers to create sales strategies Develop relationships with key industry specialists, and contribute as appropriate Assist with the development of sales collateral Provide sales training and coaching to sales professionals Perform market research and data analysis Other duties as assigned

Sales Engineer Responsibilities Drive revenue generation by prospecting and presenting to senior-level decision makers within assigned accounts Analyze client requirements and drive solution design, proposal generation, and presentation skills Create and manage a sales pipeline that includes opportunities and potential deals Resolve objections and close business by demonstrating understanding of the client and their needs Uphold and develop client relationships by conducting regular status calls and providing feedback on progress and proposed projects Identify potential new clients, including industry, organization size, and location Assist in business development and company expansion by completing ad hoc assignments
