The Opportunity
Maple Grove Retirement Village in Casula - NSW, is a tight-knit and welcoming community, set on beautifully landscaped gardens and nestled into green surrounds of Casula. Home to 110+ independent living units, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of our gardens, grounds and fixtures. Working closely with Community Manager and the residents, you will ensure our gardens, grounds, building and fixtures are well maintained, presentable and safe for all to enjoy. The ideal candidate needs to be friendly, approachable to residents, have the ability to work autonomously and be the "Jack of all Trades" when it comes to maintenance, gardening and repair!
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8am-4pm.
What we offer: $27.17/hr+ super + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances All tools and supplies provided Paid Parental Leave and Purchased Annual Leave options Employee Referral Program and Employee Assistance Program Discounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providers Opportunities for further career progression Be part of a friendly and supportive team in a caring retirement living community You will Attend to various maintenance and upkeep requests to create a safe & pleasant environment for residents, visitors and staff Be responsible for the maintenance of all village gardens including weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching and green waste removal Ensure all community spaces are appealing and safe for our community and visitors Maintain effective working relationships with maintenance contractors and suppliers Carry out preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules Build strong relationships with our residents and enjoy helping them to live their best lives with well-maintained areas. What you'll bring A warm & caring personality with an interest to make a difference every day Experience in general maintenance roles or possess 'handy' domestic repair skills (highly desired) Experience in Gardening duties (highly desired) Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not possess, we can complete for you) Valid driver's licence (required) Two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations (required) Who we are
