Iconic Company, Bundaberg Sugar Ltd, is seeking to appoint a Salaries Officer for a temporary maternity relief position commencing ASAP and continuing until August 2025, with the possibility of an extension beyond this. The role is classified as Level 2 (Award Rate), with the wage negotiable depending on relevant experience.
Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to participate in a diverse range of work, including payroll processing, accounts payable tasks, and various administrative functions as part of a dynamic team.
ROLE DESCRIPTION The role will involve finance and accounting tasks across the Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Cane Pay functions. Some responsibilities of the role will include:
Working within various accounting and payroll systems, including Preceda, Syspro, and Oracle Accurate interpretation and processing of data Assisting with auditing, reviewing, and calculating data Maintenance and filing of manual and computerised records General administration duties within the Business Services sector REQUIRED SKILLS We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and proactive person with an eye for detail who is keen to learn and possesses the following:
Knowledge of accounting fundamentals Advanced Excel abilities and an analytical mindset Ability to multi-task and adapt to challenges Contribute as a team player and have good interpersonal skills Ability to plan, organise, and work to deadlines Interest in working in a finance and accounting environment Experience with Crystal Reports, Adobe Acrobat DC, and the other programs mentioned above would be advantageous.
