This might be the opportunity for you. We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our GP team in one of the most beautiful and popular locations in the Highlands of Scotland. The practice covers the South Skye area and the Small Isles of Eigg, Muck, Rum and Canna. The Isle of Skye offers a vast range of outdoor sporting activities for the outdoor enthusiast. This post is 27 hours per week, you may be looking for flexible ways to achieve your work v lifestyle balance and we are open to discussions if this post interests you.
Although the practice is situated in a rural location, South Skye have unparalleled support from Broadford Hospital and our Integrated Community Nursing Team. The Practice has six part-time GPs and there is a fantastic wider team including Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nursing, Health Care Assistants, Pharmacist and Pharmacotherapy Team support and First Contact Physiotherapist and very experienced Admin Team.
We also work very closely with our on-site Community Nursing Team. We are ideally seeking GPs with experience in remote and rural practice; including skills such as pre-hospital emergency care (BASICS), ALS, PLS and palliative care.
There is no Out of Hours commitment with this post. The post is based at Broadford Medical Practice, which covers Sleat, Small Isles as well as Carbost, so offers a multitude of opportunities, the post will cover all locations on a fair basis. The Sleat practice has its own dispensary.
The post is for 1 year to cover maternity leave, but we are also looking at our establishment, so permanent opportunities may arise.
