Main duties of the jobTo provide a full range of GMS and additional enhancedservices where appropriate. Seeing patients face-to-face, telephone consultations and triaging.
About usWe are a semi-rural practice serving a patient population of over 18700. Our clinical team includes GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, FCP and Paramedic and a strong Nursing Team. We are open to new ideas and fresh approaches to clinical care. We are fortunate to have an excellent clinical and administrative Team. We work closely with our community teams supporting care in the community and prevention of hospital admissions. We operate from 2 sites (just 91 yards apart) and we use SystmOne.
Job responsibilitiesTo provide a full range of GMS and additional enhancedservices where appropriate.
To undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations,telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking andsigning repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork andcorrespondence as the role dictates.
Person SpecificationQualificationsGMC registered, MBBS or equivalent, MRCGP, inclusion on Performers ListExperienceWorked in a GP practice, I.T. literate, familiar with clinical systems.Working in primary care in an area with significant health problems, EPS prescribing.SkillsGood communication on all levels, good interpersonal skills, ability to work on own initiative, ability to work as part of a team, patient sensitive, full UK driving licence and use of a car.Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
