We are expanding our operations in Australia and are currently recruiting a Safety Specialist.
As a Safety Specialist, you will bring a strategic approach to advancing workplace safety and fostering a culture of well-being across diverse operational environments.
Your expertise lies in providing leaders and teams with guidance on workplace health and safety legislation, policy compliance, and effective risk management practices.
You will play a key role in implementing WHS policies, frameworks, and training initiatives that support our commitment to safety, respect, and dignity.
To be successful in this role, you will: Hold tertiary qualifications in workplace health and safety or a related field, or have significant experience in a similar safety-focused role.Have demonstrated experience advising on the interpretation and application of WHS legislation, policies, and standards within a complex, multidisciplinary organisation.Be skilled in building and promoting a positive safety culture, including consulting with frontline staff and leaders to embed safety management principles.Possess strong analytical skills for developing, evaluating, and enhancing frameworks that support effective incident management and injury rehabilitation.Have experience in managing relationships with insurers and claims managers, with the ability to produce detailed reports that track safety metrics and compliance.Show proven ability to lead WHS education sessions and initiatives that address key organisational risks and foster continuous improvement.Be able to maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating high ethical standards and sound judgement in all interactions.ABOUT YOUYou are a dedicated safety professional with proven experience in workplace health and safety, particularly in large, complex environments.
With your analytical mindset and strategic approach, you excel at developing safety programs that inspire engagement and drive cultural change.
You are adept at advising stakeholders on safety compliance and risk management, always staying proactive in your approach to incident and injury management.
A natural collaborator, you have the ability to influence, guide, and inspire both leaders and teams alike, fostering a shared commitment to safety and respect.
