About the Role: As the Safety Manager, you will be pivotal in driving compliance, reducing risks, and enhancing employee engagement through the implementation of our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Strategy and Management System.

What You Will Do: Develop and execute the Annual OHS Plan in alignment with Essity's Health and Safety Strategy.Lead Critical Risk Reduction initiatives, identifying and addressing key safety risks.Conduct and support Risk Assessments and Incident Investigations to establish sustainable risk management solutions.Manage the Internal Audit Program to ensure compliance with OHSMS, regulatory standards, and ISO 45001 certification.Champion the I Care Leadership Program, fostering proactive safety leadership and culture.Inspire and coach team members, promoting safety as a shared responsibility.Analyze and report OHS statistics and KPIs, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.Leverage data to mitigate injury risks, enhance compliance, and strengthen the safety culture.Implement and review OHS Management and Risk Standard procedures to meet legal requirements and uphold best practices.Benchmark internal safety practices against external standards to ensure excellence in safety management.Who You Are: You're a safety leader with a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and industry best practices. Ideally, you bring over five years of experience in manufacturing or logistics environments with a strong focus on OHS management. With a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent experience in OHS roles), you bring the expertise and leadership needed to create a safety-first culture.

Hands-on experience with OHS systems and managing safety protocols, ideally in manufacturing or logistics environments.Skilled in conducting internal audits and maintaining certifications like ISO 45001.Proficient in Microsoft Excel for analyzing safety data and producing actionable insights.A proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams to prioritize safety and foster ownership.Strong analytical skills to spot trends, anticipate risks, and implement preventive measures.Exceptional at delivering clear, concise, and impactful communication to engage stakeholders in safety initiatives.It would be an advantage if you hold an OHS Auditor Certification, enabling you to conduct comprehensive assessments of safety systems and ensure compliance. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would further enhance your ability to deliver impactful training and build team capabilities.
