Tell me about this role:
We are currently looking for a security cleared (NV1 or higher) Safety Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. We are looking for multi-skilled, flexible, hardworking people who are keen to grow their career within a leading Defence supplier.
These roles will be Melbourne based and will play a critical part in delivering the latest in Land capability technology to our Defence Force.
Some of the projects include armoured fighting vehicles, soldier modernisation program, lifecycle management of in-service fleet, deployable health infrastructure and more.

What will I be doing day to day?Reviewing safety systems and plansReview of existing platforms safety systemsReview of Human Factors plansSafety first mindset into new systems and plansReview technical deliverablesData management and analysisWork with a wide range of stakeholders and build meaningful and lasting professional relationshipsProviding expert safety engineering inputs into cutting edge technologyWhat sort of skills do I need?Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Human Factors or similar)Experience in Defence or Federal Government Project DeliveryStrong communication skillsProcess oriented with good attention to detailAustralian citizenship and a minimum NV1 security clearanceWhat's in it for me?Flexibility: We like our employees to have the flexibility they need to live the lives they choose.
