Mildura Fruit Juices Australia (MFJA) commenced trading in 1970 and is a major fruit processor of juices, concentrates, cut peels, oils, blends & bases, confectionery, sauces, pulps and purees to the beverage and food service industries.

Description: About the Role

Reporting into the Quality, Environmental, Sustainability and Compliance Manager, this is a newly created position to enhance the safety culture on site. This role will play an important role in promoting organisational culture and practices which create a work environment that provides for the WHS of all workers.

This is a permanent part-time position working Mondays to Fridays between 9am to 3pm.

Responsibilities will include: Coordinate approach to the development and implementation of WHS management Systems.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards as well as identify and mitigate risks and hazards.Conduct audits and assessments to maintain compliance.Provide training to employees on safety practices.Monitor and enforce adherence to safety regulations.Stay updated on regulatory changes to ensure organisational compliance.Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to address compliance issues.Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement risk mitigation measures.Conduct safety audits to assess compliance with regulations and internal policies.Document audit findings and recommend corrective actions.Follow up to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.Develop and maintain metrics to track safety performance.Analyse data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimisation.Prepare reports and presentations on safety metrics for management review.Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees.Provide guidance and support to ensure understanding and compliance with safety procedures. Skills and Experience Demonstrate appropriate experience in Occupational Health and Safety Compliance.Demonstrate use and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety risk Management principles.Knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 standard.You will be a quality-focused individual with excellent attention to detail, have good communication skills, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team.Intermediate knowledge of the MS Suite including Word and Excel.
