About the role

To help us deliver an exceptional employee experience, we're searching for a dedicated Safety & Wellbeing Specialist with a strong interest or background in workplace health & safety (WHS) and employee wellbeing.
As a member of our People team, you will help shape our approach to safety and well-being by coordinating our health and safety function. You'll work closely with the business to create engaging, best-practice health and well-being programs that truly make a difference.
This is a part-time permanent position, of 30.4 hours per week, based at our Head Office in Albury, NSW, offering an hourly rate between $36 and $40 per hour, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
What you can expect
Continuously improve safety and well-being programs, performance, and outcomes, consistent with contemporary best practices, current research, and legislative requirements.
Conduct WHS audits, investigations, and risk assessments, and ensure that appropriate risk identification, assessment, and control measures are in place.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of policies and procedures, ensuring they meet all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements and standards and can be applied practically.
Manage and respond to WHS-reported incidents and Risk Assessments, whilst also supporting WorkCover and Return to Work programs.
Coordinate Health and Wellbeing initiatives to enhance the employee experience, with consideration of physical, mental, social, and environmental factors.
About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
A passion for health and safety and for an excellence in the employee experience as an employer of choice, especially when it comes to health and wellbeing and WHS.
Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation in Victoria and New South Wales.
Strong communication skills to support the delivery of messages in written and verbal styles.
A positive and enthusiastic can-do attitude, with the ability to deliver operational outcomes.
Relevant qualification in Human Resources/WHS or previous experience in WHS/Health & Wellbeing are desirable.
