Working on a lifestyle 8:6 roster, day shifts only.
The Role Reporting to the Superintendent of Health and Safety, you will work with a team of health and safety professionals to schedule and deliver training, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Your role will involve coaching operational and maintenance teams and overseeing the safety of critical equipment, processes, and activities.
You will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and promote adherence to all site rules, regulations, procedures, and safe work systems.
Your duties will include:
Leading efforts to maintain a safe work environment and foster a positive safety culture by building strong relationships across the company.Facilitating best practices in accident and incident investigations.Coordinating the development and updates of the Site Risk Register.Assisting with safety campaigns, promotions, toolbox meetings, and workshops.Coaching and mentoring department Health & Safety Representatives.Overseeing department training and competency requirements.Ensuring safety data within INX is accurate and up to date.Skills and Experience: You will be an experienced health and safety coordinator, with training expertise, and have worked in the industry before.
You must have:
3-5 years of experience in a health and safety role within the mining industry.Certificate IV in WHS.Certificate IV in Training and Assessing.Experience with INX is highly desirable; Pronto experience is beneficial but not required.Strong organizational and administrative skills.An approachable and positive attitude.The Opportunity and Why Apply: This is a unique opportunity to join a well-regarded mining company in western Tasmania.
