The Role We are seeking applications from experienced candidates to fill the role of Safety Advisor. This position sits within the PTA Project Delivery division and reports directly to the Senior Safety & Quality Advisor. In this role the incumbent is responsible for the development and coordination of the PTA Project Delivery division (PPD) Compliance and Assurance program, maintaining alignment with AS/NZS ISO 45001 and AS/NZS ISO 9001 as well as advising on and supporting PPD's Work Health and Safety requirements to both its workforce and the contractors. The winning candidate also ensures that operational interface arrangements are satisfactorily implemented. They will undertake regular site inspections, contractor audits and reports on contractor compliance to safety requirements and specifications, with a focus towards Work Health and Safety and rail safety. 
To succeed in this role, you must have:
A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent or significant progress towards, OR extensive relevant experience. Considerable practical application and understanding of the safety principles, to meet the requirements of WHS Act 2020, WHS Regulations 2022 and Rail Safety National Law Act WA 2015. Considerable practical application and understanding of the safety principles, to meet the requirements of AS/NZS ISO 45001 and AS/NZS ISO 9001. Considerable practical application and understanding of quality assurance principles and risk management principles. Proven relevant experience in the internal auditing of quality and safety management systems. Demonstrated experience in statistical data analysis, reporting and in providing recommendations for improvement to management. There is one five (5) year fixed term appointment available for an immediate start with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency. Applicants must be in possession of a current Western Australian 'C' or 'C-A' class Driver's Licence or equivalent and must have the ability to work outside normal working hours, including callouts. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months from which permanent and fixed term appointments will be made.
