About the opportunity
Our close-knit Safety team is on the look for an additional team member to foster a safety culture across our sites and continue to evolve our safety system. Reporting to the General Manager Safety Health and Sustainability APAC, this role's accountabilities include:
Developing and conducting training packages and toolbox talks;
Providing feedback and coaching to site supervisors and managers;
Conducting safety inductions for seasonal workforce;
Performing audits and inspections;
Supporting the GM to develop and review primary procedures and other documentation.
About you
If you are a resilient and proactive self-starter with a passion for problem solving and engaging leaders to create a safer workplace for everyone, this role is for you! Ideally, you'll be based near one of our locations with consistent travel to our sites. However, we would also consider other locations as long as you can cater to travel to various locations across the QLD Cotton network of sites (e.g. Darling Downs, Emerald, Moura, Wee Waa).
The following skills and experience will be the key to your success:
5+ years' on-site experience in a similar position in process manufacturing, logistics or farming environment;
Qualification in Health & Safety (min Cert IV WHS) or equivalent;
Sound knowledge of QLD & NSW WHS legislation;
Experience with Incident investigation (using e.g. ICAM);
Proven experience in developing and writing primary procedures and other safety documentation including training;
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and build respectful relationships at all levels;
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage dynamic workload;
Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail;
Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team;
Digitally proficient including sound Microsoft Office suite skills;
Flexibility to travel to different sites regularly;
Current Driver's License.
