About your Role We are currently recruiting for a Safety Advisor, located at our Brisbane Head Office. This is a permanent full-time, Monday to Friday role.
This position will coordinate all aspects of Health, Safety, Sustainability & Risk Management to Hastings Deering employees working at Business Centre operations.
The key responsibilities of this role will include, but not be limited to:
Provide expert advice and assistance to facilitate a safe working environment and ensure that all work practices are in accordance with Company policy and recognised and legislated Work Health & Safety regulations and proceduresInspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment or practices to ensure complianceAssist with pre-shift work planning, scheduling and inspectionsAssist in the contribution and implementation of the Safety Management System in accordance to Hastings Deering and legislative requirementsFacilitate Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) investigations as requiredFacilitate incident investigation, reporting and corrective actionsCoordinate Workplace Rehabilitation Program for injured employees to ensure best recovery and premium minimisationEnsure environment and sustainability policies and procedures are adhered toConduct inductions and training of employees in compliance with site and Company requirements and legislation and record and maintain in appropriate registers and reportsAbout You You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
ICAM QualificationMinimum Certificate IV in Health and SafetyMinimum 3 years experience in a similar role within industrial or heavy industryUnderstanding of safety compliance obligationsExperience with regulators, audits and WHS requirementsStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and conciselyAutonomous and willing to learnAbout our Benefits Hastings Deering offers a wide range of benefits including:
