S&OP Planner Division: Boral Constr Mat Limited Work type: Permanent - full time Location: Sydney The Sales and Operation Planner is a key role within Boral's Cement Finance Team to lead the sales and operations planning process for our national Cement business.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this critical role will have a demand focus and will assist with improving decision making and the efficiency of our supply chain planning to in turn drive future production.
Your day will involve: Development and maintenance and improvement of forecast models incorporating demand intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, operations and finance and other internal and external sources.
Deliver data and insights that will enable operational planning required to meet demand by reviewing capacity, inventory and logistics plans in line with target service levels and establish safety stock targets.
Engage and collaborate with Cement commercial teams to obtain cement demand plans and review the capacity of cement operations and international sourcing to supply materials for internal as well as external demand.
Manage and extract big data regarding customer sales in volume terms for analysis and visualisation.
Lead monthly demand forecast reviews presenting forecasts for internal and external customers, comparing with budget and historical trends.
Critical review of process for the purpose of identifying opportunities to add value through standardisation and automation.
What are we looking for? Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain/Logistics or Business (desirable).
Proven experience as a Demand and/or Supply Planner in a Manufacturing planning environment.
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to import large data sets, build macros and automation, scenario planning and data visualisation (Tableau).
Experience with Office 365, including Power Automate and Power Apps for task automation, data integration, and process optimization, would be highly regarded.
Any exposure to cloud-based forecasting tools such as One Stream or Anaplan would be highly regarded.
Commercially astute, critical thinker with strong presentation and communication ability.
Action-oriented and proactive with the ability to influence, challenge, question and optimise.
