The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older person, right here in North Sydney.
Spend time with an elderly gentleman seeking a Russian-speaking Social Visitor at a Residential Care Home in Marsfield. He would enjoy someone to visit and play a game of chess or dominoes. Should you visit on a nice day, perhaps a stroll outside or sitting back and chatting about soccer over a cuppa would be enjoyable. Your Impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit and for yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help improve quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation.

Requirements• 18 years or older
• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30-minute to one-hour visit between 9 am and 4 pm, Monday to Sunday. Visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
