About UsKimberley Aboriginal Medical Services (KAMS) is a well-established regional Aboriginal community-controlled health service, founded in 1986, which provides centralised advocacy and resource support for 6 independent member services, as well as providing direct clinical services in a further 5 remote Aboriginal communities across the region and being the lead agency for headspace Broome since 2008.
KAMS has successfully delivered high-quality, accessible comprehensive primary health care services over its 34 years of operation and has provided innovation and national leadership in areas such as health information management and evidence-based best practice in Aboriginal Health.
Position OverviewIn this role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our office. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to manage your time effectively will be key to your success in this position.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Providing administrative support to the teamHandling incoming calls and emails, addressing inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate team membersCoordinating and managing appointments, meetings, and events for the teamOverseeing office supplies, equipment, and facilities to maintain an organised workspaceSkills and ExperienceOur ideal candidate will have:
Excellent attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsExceptional time management and organisational abilitiesThe capacity to multitask and prioritise tasks effectivelyA high level of energy, enthusiasm and flexibility and a strong commitment to learnDemonstrated initiative and ability to creatively problem solvePrior experience in an administrative role or similar position is preferred, but not required. We value individuals who are eager to learn and grow within our organisation.
Salary & BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $61,265 - $64,329 per year. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes accommodation allowance, electricity allowance, and opportunities for professional development.
