Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner The RFDS is seeking an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner to deliver holistic primary health care & support community well-being.

Description The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) (Queensland Section) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner to provide quality primary health care to the community. Under the guidance of a PHC Registered Nurse, you will deliver a range of primary health care services, working closely with other health professionals to improve health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities: Provide holistic care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities Act as a liaison between clients and health care providers, assisting with follow-up care and ensuring continuity of services. Contribute to local community projects that promote well-being. Offer health education to clients, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their health management. Carry out clinical assessments, tests, and procedures within your scope of practice, collaborating with other health care professionals to develop care plans. Promote health initiatives and preventive care within the community. Mentor and support team members in a collaborative environment. Qualifications & Experience Certificate IV or higher in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice). Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role. Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner. Experience in providing independent patient care and working within a multidisciplinary team. Strong knowledge of Indigenous health and culture. Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills. Why join us?
