Reporting to the Principal Contracts within the Strategic Sourcing Team , you will support the development and delivery of contract packages and sourcing strategies, all aimed at achieving the best possible outcomes across Roy Hill and the broader Hancock group.
Supporting a high-value, business-critical category, you will optimise the procurement process to improve efficiencies, negotiate better contracts, build stronger relationships and identify opportunities for consolidation, innovation and cost savings. Leveraging market analysis, trends, and best practices, you will identify ongoing suppliers and sourcing opportunities and partner with key stakeholders to develop tailored strategies and internal demand patterns.

Duties: Lead the management of contracts, focusing on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contractor performance measurement, analysis, and improvement Undertake end-to-end strategic sourcing in line with the business requirements of category management Use sound commercial judgment in applying contractual terms and conditions Provide comprehensive contract life-cycle support, encompassing all contractual and commercial activities, and develop and implement well-defined category strategies Provide commercial and contractual support across the business, ensuring value delivery through performance improvement, a Total Cost of Ownership focus, and effective contract management Build positive supplier relationships and identify opportunities for consolidation, innovation, and cost savings Undertake appropriate market analysis to achieve best value in goods and services Support cost reduction initiatives and security of supply of good and services for Roy Hill and the broader Hancock group Skills and experience Proactive with a positive mindset towards problem-solving and the ability to develop strong working relationships Solutions focused with the ability to negotiate and influence positive outcomes Commercial/contracts and category management experience Experience in the development and implementation of category strategies delivering value for business Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Construction Management, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Legal (Construction Law) or related discipline About Roy Hill Roy Hill is a world-class mining company, leading the way through innovative, integrated mining rail and port operations, to export iron ore safely and efficiently from West Australia's Pilbara region.
