We have an exciting opportunity for a fulltime Rostering Manager in our northwest region.
This position will be based in our Head office at Ulverstone with some travel to our Launceston office. Reporting to the Safe Haven Program Manager, the Rostering Manager will be responsible for the provision of Glenhaven Family Care's rostering and on call system across the whole organisation.
The Rostering Manager will liaise with other organisational departments to ensure critical information is collated and updated in the rostering system accurately and in a timely manner.
This position plays a critical role in providing leadership and support to a team of Rostering and On Call Officers to ensure Support Workers are utilised efficiently to provide high quality support outcomes for children, young people, families and adults.
Key responsibilities: Lead the daily operations of the Rostering team.Work in line with organisational requirements to foster continuous improvement, including the identification of efficiency enhancements for forecasting, scheduling, or capacity planning processes.Ensure rostering practices and procedures meet the Industrial and Legislative requirements of the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability services Industry (SCHADS) award.Take the lead in information gathering from other departments of Glenhaven and be a backup to undertake daily rostering functions to support the team when required.Develop and maintain processes to ensure cohesive and collaborative transitions between On Call after hours, the Rostering Team and the Glenhaven programs it supports.Engage and support the Rostering Team to ensure rosters reflect the operational needs of the organisation.Lead, mentor, and support team members to champion exceptional customer service.Update, create and implement new workflows and processes to ensure synergy between the Rostering Team and operational program areas.Recommend and implement tactical solutions to improve performance.Contribute to a cohesive team environment by sharing information, supporting and assisting colleagues across all Glenhaven Programs in a proactive manner to meet goals and deadlines.Investigate rostering complaints/situations to influence process development.Schedule rostering resources to ensure adequate coverage (leave etc).As the Rostering Manager, you will have: Experience and knowledge in Microsoft products, data entry, records management with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Highly desirable to have a working knowledge of MYP or equivalent rostering system (or willingness to learn)Knowledge of the SCHADS Award, or ability to acquire such knowledge in a short time frame.To be familiar with Child Safety Services and comply with the relevant legislation (Children, Young Persons and Their Families Act 1997).Proven ability to foster teamwork and collaboration while managing multiple priorities effectively.An ability to use critical thinking to understand and analyse problems and find solutions.The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience, and competent in the use of all types of communication technology.An ability to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, courtesy and discretionAn ability to build and maintain strong working relationships and work confidently with people across all levels of the organisation.A current (less than 12 months old) Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check or National Police Check or happy to submit to one.A current Working with Vulnerable People (NDIS endorsed) card or the ability to acquire.A current full Australian Driver's licence (minimum P2s) is essential.Due to the inherent requirements of the advertised role, you are encouraged to ensure at all times whilst employed, you are vaccinated against the following: (a) COVID-19; (b) any other pandemic that is recommended under the National Health Management Strategy.Glenhaven actively supports staff to have a healthy work life balance.
