About the Role Coordinate and optimise our frontline in-home aged care workforce by utilising rostering and scheduling systems and engaging with the people we support to understand and meet their needs and requirements while promoting a sustainable workforce.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in rostering for in-home aged care or community care, strong customer service skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
This is a full time, six month maximum term contract, which can be based in any of our local offices nationally with hybrid work from home arrangements.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain staffing rosters in accordance with client needs, service agreements, budgets and award requirementsRespond to ad-hoc roster change requests, ensuring amendments are recorded and clearly communicated to stakeholdersProactive responses to problem solve in a reactive scheduling environment to ensure efficient non-disruptive schedule modificationsEnsure staff availability patterns are recorded and kept up to dateEscalate rostering and staff skill gaps, and work with line managers to identify solutionsBuild positive relationships through engagement with stakeholdersComply with all Life Without Barriers policy, code of conduct, procedures and practices, external funding body requirements and legislation.Skills & Experience Prior rostering experience with in-home aged care or community careAbility to prioritise high volume workload and meet deadlinesUnderstanding of workforce management principles, HSE and relevant industrial award conditionsHighly developed interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work cohesively within a team environment and with autonomySuccessful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, NDIS Working screening check & Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
