Rollingstock Maintainers (Mechanical Fitters & Boilermakers)We are looking for multiple qualified boilermaker and mechanical fitter tradespeople to join our safety-focused team at our Adelaide (Dry Creek) depot. This role will be responsible for the efficient operational maintenance of Aurizon's rollingstock to ensure the safe and efficient running of Aurizon's fleet within the Bulk Central business.
These positions work day and afternoon shifts, with occasional Saturday work required (4 per year) with the option for overtime.
You will be responsible for: Undertaking examination and inspection of rollingstock to identify any faults or defects.Controlling the movement of rollingstock within the area of operations and carry out instructions concerning rollingstock movements and safe working.Carrying out repairs, component change out, servicing and modification to rollingstock.Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with technical & operational specifications.Progressing the implementation and application of work procedures and practices in pursuit of ensuring continuous quality improvement.Providing material requirements to ensure safe and efficient running of rollingstock.About you: High level of knowledge of functions, defects & fault findings with equipment.Unrestricted 'C' class Driver's Licence.Forklift Licence (preferred).Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Sound verbal communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment.Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.Ability to work shift work.Substantial level of skills in repair, maintenance & overhaul of machinery.Some of our benefits include: Development and growth opportunities.Access to mentoring and development programs.Discounts on selected health insurance funds, personal travel, gyms, vehicles, and retail brands.Parental leave program and super booster.About Aurizon: Aurizon is Australia's largest rail freight operator and a top 100 ASX company.
