About the Project The $2.3 billion-dollar New Intercity Fleet (NIF) project will involve the design, build and maintenance of 554 train carriages for Transport for NSW.
The New Intercity Fleet (NIF) will carry customers from Sydney to the Central Coast, Newcastle, the South Coast, the Blue Mountains and Lithgow.
UGL is responsible for the maintenance and whole-of-life asset management of the 554 new carriages for 15 years once they are added to the NSW TrainLink Fleet.
UGL's maintenance and asset management is based at a new purpose-built facility in Kangy Angy on NSW's Central Coast.
The facility features multiple roads with a wash plant, wheel lathe and an undercover maintenance area.
About the Role Our maintenance team is growing, and we are looking for Shed based Rolling Stock Maintainers to support the increased maintenance activity on our fleet.
As a rollingstock maintainer you will perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on rollingstock.
Training will also be provided for yard control, driving of the trains and operation of the facility infrastructure.
These positions will be offer on a 24/7 rotating roster working days, afternoons and night with an average of 38 hours per week paid under the UGL Kangy Angy NIF Enterprise Agreement on a base hourly rate plus shift penalties - $36 - $40 per hour.
These roles are based at our Kangy Angy maintenance facility on the NSW Central Coast.
About You We are currently looking for Mechanical and Electrical trades with positions open for rolling stock experienced and non-rolling stock experience (training provided) applicants possessing the following.
Australian recognised trade qualification Preventative and corrective maintenance Forklift or overhead crane license is desirable but not a necessity.
