Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Risk & Governance Manager to join their team in Sydney CBD. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing procurement governance frameworks and optimising procurement processes, procedures, documentation, and training materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal policies, laws, and regulatory requirements while identifying opportunities for process optimisation and automation.
What you'll do: Develop and implement best practice, robust, auditable and transparent end-to-end procurement governance framework, policy, and procedures. Identify process improvement initiatives within the Procurement function. Utilise process-mapping techniques to analyse, design, and document current and future-state procurement processes. Identify opportunities for process optimisation and automation. Develop and maintain procurement metrics to measure procurement performance. Direct the management and maintenance of procurement documentation. Develop full suite of documentation, training materials, and communication to support procurement governance. Deliver business reports addressing performance and governance advice/issues in relation to procurement processes. What you bring: Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement with proven experience in governance roles. Qualifications in a relevant discipline (Supply Chain Management, Business/ MCIPS). Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) is required. Proficient in process mapping and documentation tools (eg Visio). Strong analytical skills with ability to use data-driven insights for decision-making. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Proven experience in developing robust yet user-friendly procurement governance frameworks.
