Class Actions Lawyer (Sydney / Melbourne) CLASS ACTION LAWYER – SYDNEY / MELBOURNE
An exciting new role has arisen at a national Australian law firm which is looking to grow their class actions / commercial litigation practice across Sydney and Melbourne.
About the Class Action Lawyer Role:
Reporting to the Partner, the successful candidate will take carriage of class actions and commercial litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be involved in and take carriage of end-to-end class actions (across areas of financial services, securities litigation, human rights, personal injury, and consumer law), with opportunity to dabble in complex commercial litigation and regulatory investigations work. Drafting of pleadings, affidavits, submissions, and court papers alike. Brief counsels, client management, witnesses and attending to court. Key Requirements:
Admitted as a solicitor with practising rights in Australia. Between 2 and 10 years of PQE in dispute resolution in Sydney and/or Melbourne. Experience handling class actions and/or complex and large scale commercial litigation and regulatory investigations. Possess sound technical knowledge on court procedures and rules. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
