Ward 18V is a 30-bed unit that is divided into two separate areas including the General Unit and the High Dependency Unit.
This ward is seeking experienced mental health nurses to join their team with previous experience managing a portfolio highly desirable.About the role: Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and Nurse Consultant, you will maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the heath care team providing nursing and/or midwifery services in health service settings.Duties for the role may include: Provide direct person centred nursing/midwifery care and/or individual case management to patients/clients on a shift by shift basis in a defined clinical area with increasing autonomy over time Support nursing/midwifery practice and learning experiences for students undertaking clinical placements, orientation for new staff and preceptorship of graduates Provide health promotion and education, to patients/clients or groups and carers to improve the health outcomes of individual Plan and coordinate services with other disciplines or agencies in providing individual health care needs About you: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Ability to prioritise workload Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing/Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds a current practicing certificate Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.This is a single vacancy, with two possible appointment classifications.
The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.
To be considered for the RN2C (Clinical Nurse) level you must have at least three years, full time equivalent, post registration experience with experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.Want To Know More?
