Your opportunity As the Risk and Security Manager at our Living Centre, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of both customers and employees. Working closely with the Centre Manager, you'll contribute to upholding our high standards and have a meaningful impact on our community, setting new benchmarks for excellence.
About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Risk & Security Manager to join our Westfield Warringah Mall team. In this role, you'll take the lead in managing security and risk operations across the Centre. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and security of employees, contractors, retailers, and customers.
While risk management will be a significant focus, your role will also require handling critical incidents as they occur. You will be responsible for leading the team through these situations, ensuring they are fully supported and equipped to navigate any challenges that arise.
Key Responsibilities: Day to day, you'll be responsible for:
Strategic Leadership: Lead the implementation of our Safety Framework, partnering with stakeholders to create a secure environment that goes above and beyond customer expectations.Community Engagement: Develop and foster partnerships with local authorities and community groups, reinforcing the Centre's role as a vibrant community hub.Operational Excellence: Oversee risk and security operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and contractor management, ensuring daily operations run seamlessly and customer experience is top-notch.Emergency Response: Lead and train teams to respond effectively to emergencies, maintaining comprehensive safety documentation and compliance.Continuous Innovation: Advocate for change, support new safety initiatives, and drive a culture that values continuous improvement and innovative thinking.Collaboration and Partnerships: Work closely with support teams, emergency services, contractors, and internal partners to deliver safe, compliant, and community-focused outcomes.As a part of our asset team, you'll also have Duty Management responsibilities where you'll be required to work a late night or weekend shift (on a roster), which will be balanced with a day off in lieu.

Technically, you will have the following skills and experience:
Qualifications or related experience in Work Health and SafetySolid experience in risk & security management in retail, property, hospitality, entertainment, leisure, or other services industryAbility to mitigate & manage risk, manage incident response, and follow through with reporting, authority interaction, & assisting with insurance claims managementExperience & technical knowledge of CCTV & Access Control systems, & visitor & contractor management systemsAbout us Scentre Group owns 42 Westfield destinations across Australia and New Zealand.
