Your New Role
As the Risk Manager, you'll lead transformative initiatives, projects, processes and systems designed to embed risk culture and implement best practice methods into our way of working. Your strategic guidance will support a culture of positive awareness and help mature operational efficiency across the University.
In this role, you will: Oversee Curtin's Risk Framework: Support and continually improve the University's enterprise risk framework to align with best practice and fit for purpose outcomes.Provide Strategic Risk Support: Offer expert advice on risk management, opportunity realisation and facilitate discussions on risk appetite, culture, and controls.Enhance Risk Awareness: Develop training and resources to build risk management capability across the University.Collaborate with University Leaders: Work with senior leaders to ensure alignment with broader policies, conduct risk assessments, and support strategic initiatives.Lead Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and optimise risk management processes, ensuring they meet evolving standards and best practices.We are looking for someone with: Qualifications or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training related to risk management.Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary risk management frameworks and International Standards for risk programs.Significant experience in implementing and/or administering an Enterprise Risk Management system.Ability to provide strategic advice, simplify and articulate complex technical knowledge to a wide range of audiences including senior leaders, staff and third parties.Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships effortlessly to support and lead staff in a complex and evolving environment.Join Us!
