The role will act as the 2IC to the GM and will have a strong focus on leading a team of risk specialists providing end-to-end Line 2 risk oversight to enable meeting business objectives in a safe and commercial manner. This role is instrumental in delivering better risk outcomes for Insignia, thereby supporting better client outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Building a strong and highly regarded Risk Management teamProvision of effective Line 2 review and challenge across Insignia's Asset Management, ESG and Finance areas.Provision of risk management expertise and considered advice aligned to established risk frameworks.Using your depth of experience, assisting with growth and development of team members.Line 2 oversight of business planning activities, regulatory requirements, compliance plans, change initiatives, incident and breach reporting, controls and associated assessments/attestations.Cultivating and fostering enduring relationships with the business and the Office of Responsible Entities.Work fluently across other Risk Management functions including the 'head of' cohort in order to facilitate end-to-end engagement.Key contributor to the board/committee reporting.Attend boards/committees as required (supporting the GM Risk)What you will bringUndergraduate degree in Business/Commerce, Law or relevant subjects (mandatory)Experience in a similar role, ideally within the asset management sector (5 years) as it relates to fund origination and fund management.Knowledge of operational risk and compliance principles and frameworksKnowledge of ESG and Responsible Investing practices, regulations, and emerging risksDemonstrated ability to successfully lead high performing teams.Demonstrated skill and experience in building trusted relationships.Experience working in complex businesses undergoing significant transformation.Ability to impart knowledge and experience through coaching and leading-by-example.Ability to drive behavioural and mindset changes with key stakeholders.Ability to mentor team members to support their development requirements.To ApplyApplicants will be required to provide evidence of their eligibility to work in Australia, and at a minimum be required to undertake police and basic credit checks as a condition of employment.Please note that applications from agencies will not be considered at this time.We acknowledge and celebrate the richness that individual differences bring to our team.
