Our International Insurance Client is seeking to appoint a Risk Consultant into their newly formed Risk and Governance Claims and Assessing Division of their growing and market leading Motor Claims Department. This role essentially supports the delivery and tracking of the Risk and Governance components of the Motor Network - Commercial Supply & Assessing operational execution and strategic initiatives. This includes Capacity, Non-Drive Hubs, Assessing & Total Loss.
There is a significant volume of risk management and regulatory governance required to implement and ensure that business oversight and execution is appropriate. These risk components are strongly linked to the underlying Network Recovery Plan. The Risk Consultant will provide support to the Risk Manager for monitoring and accountability to execute these regulatory requirements. This will also support operations leaders and other SMEs to focus on delivery and management of BAU Risk and the change embedment.
Your key responsibilities will include: Proactively contribute to the development and implementation of the Motor Claims strategic plan. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislative & regulatory requirements including industry codes. Executing best practice by embedding suitable risk governance practices. Maintaining strong engagement across all levels of the leadership team from frontline leader to the executive team. Identifying opportunity for continuous improvement (people, process & technology) Drive improved execution and risk management across business function Effective Stakeholder Engagement through the building and maintaining of effective working relationships with managers at all levels to support and promote effective risk practices and appropriate risk behaviours. Risk Management Implementation: guide and support the organisations business in adhering to risk management policies, processes, and requirements. What you will bring to the role: You will bring an inquisitive and a detail orientated mind, with a preference for facilitating deep dives to not only solve problems but ensure the systems and processes established are both robust and effective. That the solutions you have identified with your key stakeholders are not simply band aides, but address route cause. Your eye for the detail coupled with your tenacity will play a key role in the identification of best-in-class processes and systems to support the organisation compliance to regulatory governance well into the future. You will also bring:
A background in Risk Management or more specifically operated as a Risk Analyst within the Regulatory, Financial Services, Insurance (Self Insured organisations or Insurance organisations) or a Superannuation organisation. You may even come with a strong Insurance Claims background, with some exposure to risk and or a willingness to learn. A degree in business, or a related field is highly desirable. Advanced Excel skills. Excellent knowledge of Risk Governance structures and regulatory requirements. Proven ability to support teams through transformational change, including interstate-based business centres. Excellent relationship building skills which engages stakeholders across the entire organisation Experience in strategic planning, facilitation, liaison, time management and team organisation Advanced reporting/analysis skills Strong oral and written communication skills. Proven negotiation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in writing professional reports. Strong organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills. Demonstrated ability to identify and analyse critical problems to uncover hidden insights. What's in it for you?
